The Tail is powered by a HiSilicon Hi3559A chip that delivers a staggering 5 TFLOPS of computing power required for premium imaging technologies like HDR10. The device comes with a Tap Lock feature which makes it really easy to lock and shoot the target. It also has a gesture control feature that allows you to capture your shots easily without having to press the shutter button. The AI-tracking is on point and ensures a stable tracking of the subject up to 40 meters. It even tracks in low-light environments with noisy surroundings and tricky shooting angles. The device adjusts the composition for shots automatically with its Pin-Pointing feature based on visual learning techniques. As claimed by the company, the Tail is the first camera with a Launch Pad that triggers over 20 different rhythmed camera movements. In terms of optics, the Tail is capable of shooting 4K videos at 60fps and can also capture up to 12MP images. It comes with a three-axis gimbal and Tail’s Extra-smooth technology that reduces the jitter to provide a seamless video shooting experience. The gimbal is not obtrusive and allows for easy 360-degree panoramic shooting. Talking about additional features, the tail supports Tap-switch that makes it easy to switch modes from landscape to portrait. For Time-lapse, the device provides various different options like static time-lapse, moving time-lapse, surround time-lapse etc. The Tail comes with its companion app, called Obsbot Studio App that provides tonnes of features. Some of these features include the ability to synchronise facial beautification and filters while shooting, viewing the mirrored version while it is recorded, and a whole lot of advanced video-editing options to choose from.
