Oppo Reno5 Pro: Design and Display
The Reno5 Pro features what the company calls a new generation Reno Glow process. This design is said to have pyramid-like structures all over to make the color pop-up and prevent fingerprint smudges. Towards the front, the device has a 6.5-inch edge-to-edge (Super AMOLED) display with a 92.1% screen-to-body ratio. The display offers an FHD+ resolution and provides a 90Hz refresh rate along with up to 180Hz of touch sampling rate. It has a hole-punch cutout to house the front-facing camera, and there is also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication. Moreover, the display is also HDR10+ certified and can playback Netflix and Prime videos in high quality.
Oppo Reno5 Pro: Performance
Oppo Reno5 Pro runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset. The Dimensity 1000+ is based on a 7nm process and is an octa-core processor with up to 2.6GHz of clock speeds. And, it has the Mali-G77 MC9 GPU to handle all the graphics processing. Assisting the chipset is 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The phone includes a 4350mAh battery with support for 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging. As per the company’s claims, this can charge the battery up to 100% in around 30 minutes.
As for other specifications, the Reno5 Pro comes with support for 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1. It includes a USB-C port and an in-display fingerprint scanner — for authentication. Lastly, the device runs on ColorOS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box.
Oppo Reno5 Pro: Camera
In the camera department, the Reno5 Pro sports a quad-camera setup on the rear. This setup includes a 64MP primary sensor, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP mono lens. On the front, the phone offers a 32MP shooter. It can shoot up to 4K videos in 30fps with the rear camera and up to 1080p videos in 30fps using the front.
Oppo Enco X
Alongside the Reno5 Pro, Oppo has also announced its latest pair of TWS-earbuds, the Enco X. One of the highlights of the Enco X is the customizable ANC functionality that allows users to tune the noise cancellation settings as per their requirements. Besides, these earphones are worked upon by a Danish hi-fi audio brand, Dynaudio.
Talking about its key specifications, the Enco X features 11mm, dynamic drivers. It has two dedicated microphones for noise cancelation and two microphones for call noise cancelation. The earbuds use Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity and offer support for codecs such as LHDC, AAC, and SBC. They include a 44mAh battery inside each earbud that can provide up to four hours of playback time. Besides, there is a 535mAh battery inside the charging case, which gives an additional 20 hours of battery juice.
Pricing and Availability
Oppo Reno5 Pro comes in two colors: Astral Blue and Starry Black. It is available in only one configuration: 8GB + 128GB, priced at Rs 35,990. As for availability, the device will be available in India starting January 22. On the other hand, the Enco X is priced at Rs 9,990 and will be available from January 22.
