The Vivo V9 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The device offers mid-range specifications with an emphasis on the front camera. Powering the Vivo V9 is a Snapdragon 626 coupled with 4GB of RAM. On the storage front, Vivo is offering 64GB of internal memory along with microSD card slot. It would be interesting to see whether or not Vivo will be offering a 128GB variant in India. I had also hoped for a 6GB RAM option for the Vivo V9 but sadly that doesn’t seem to be the case. The camera is one of the main highlights of the Vivo V9. The 24-Megapixel front-facing camera comes laced with AR Stickers, Face Unlock, and Face Beauty Mode. The company claims that the camera features are backed by AI. The Vivo V9 offers a dual rear camera setup (16-Megapixel+5-Megapixel) Needless to say the device also offers bokeh mode. Connectivity options on the Vivo V9 include 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a Micro USB port. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo flavored FunTouch OS. Unlike the Vivo X series, the V9 misses out on screen fingerprint sensor, in fact, it also misses out on a Type-C USB port and sticks with microUSB. Backing the device is a 3260mAh battery and the Vivo V9 is likely to be priced within the Rs 25,000 price bracket.
